Alright gamers, September 22nd was our last day at the Franklin location, as well as our last day as Lansharx Gaming. Monika and I (Ben) have decided that we no longer wanted to be at the helm(s) of this business. As a result, we met up with the guys at Nexus eSports in downtown Waco, and we’ve come up with a merger. Zach and Cory are stand-up guys with a great thing going and we thought, man.. wouldn’t it be great if we combined forces and created the greatest pillar of gaming in the area. The community will stand to be the strongest we could ever imagine it to be. It will be a combination of years of experience and roots in the gaming scene with fresh ideas and passion for the community coming from those guys.
I realize this may be sad for some of you, because it is an end of an era. We’ve had a lot of people grow up here. People have used Lansharx as a retreat from personal, work or family problems. We’ve opened our doors and hearts to hundreds and the thought of not having the same doors is rough. However, this is just a chapter ending and we’ll turn the page over to the next chapter. I can tell you after being here a few weeks that it’s going to be an incredible thing. Fresh faces as well as fresh gaming. ALL gaming under one roof. PCs, consoles, tabletop gaming, VR, everything!
Again, thank all of you guys for spending time with us at Lansharx and look forward to all of you heading over to Nexus to enjoy the new-new over there.
Ben and Monika and everyone else in the Lansharx family.
